I have used this tent in mild conditions and found it by an able performer. It is mostly mesh which is good for breeze, but it doesn't block out all sun, if you were hoping for that. it can stand up to normal wind, like 1-15 mph gust. I took this tent to Burningman 2006. It stood a whole week staked down with consistent 59mph winds. Had I unzipped the door, the door zipper wouldn't have ripped. It is a bit heavy but it sets up solid.
